First Outing

Today has been the best day yet as far as how I feel. I had my first official outing today that didn't involve going to a doctor. Me, Sue, Jamie, Celia and Amanda went to the Greenwood Cafe for lunch. It felt so good to get out. I had some split pea soup (which I hope won't influence my clotting ability too much) and a grilled cheese and tomato on rye. Yum. Pics will be posted as soon as we can figure out how to get them out of Jamie's iPhone.

No more doctors visits until Monday morning when I get my port put in at 7:30am at Highland Park Hospital (or hopital, as Benjamin would say). Then chemo starts Tuesday around lunchtime. I have a lot of reading to do before then as far as supplements to take to support me during chemo. The schedule of people coming to help is filling in and we're figuring out the gaps and will hopefully have some local people/family to fill in those gaps. Everyone has been so kind with their offers. We'll take you up on them; we just need to figure a few things out first.

That's about all for now. Thanks again for the support and prayers. We love you.

Love to all, Sandy
