And so the ride begins. I'm guessing I'm in for the ride of my life. There's no turning back now. The wheels are in motion. T minus 8 hours. I just have to remember to breathe. Maybe a little rescue remedy tonight wouldn't hurt, either.
I had a nice 4-hour nap after my colonoscopy. At least I finally got some sleep which is good, since I'm fairly certain sleep will elude me tonight. Apparently I'm an A+ student at cleaning out my colon. I'd better be after the "feet" tasting prep from yesterday. So I guess colon cancer is ruled out.
So I ask you at 7:30am Central Time to raise a glass and crack open a can of Whoopa$$ for me. Whoopa$$ and prayers. And prayers for my doctor, as well, Dr. Herbert "Skip" Beck. Time will tell, my friends. Time will tell. That's all for now from me. Phil, Rebekah or Cindy will most likely be updating the blog for me for the next few days.
Love to all,
Sandy

Home from step 1 of our busy week....
Sandy did so well today. Colonoscopy revealed nothing other than a clean bill of health with one small polyp (8mm - good job on using the metric system (even in the US (smile))) which the doctor removed. Sandy was mildly sedated and in fact watched most of the procedure going on. We arrived home a few minutes ago and she is now tucked in bed with Gatorade.
Sue and Kirsty took Benjamin to the Kohl's Museum and we hope he has stopped being too sad....a lot of things for his little mind to absorb. They just got home and he is sleeping in the car and had a blast at the Museum. Nice to have lots of extended care people around.
I'm sure Sandy will write more later. Please keep your prayers coming for good sleep tonight and for a better than expected result tomorrow.
