11:00am and we're home from the hospital! I definitely dig this outpatient surgery thing. The port is in, with IV needles still in place for tomorrow's chemo treatment. After tomorrow the IV needles will come out and I'll just have the port in place. Surgery went well and all veins have been cauterized so there should be no bleeding. We're still waiting to hear what our revised blood thinner treatments will be. It was so nice last night not to have an injection (in preparation for this morning's surgery). I just took some Tylenol to take the edge off the pain (which isn't too bad, mostly just sore). I'm glad the port will help me avoid being stuck anymore with needles when they need to take blood since they can take it right from the port. Yay for medical technology!
I was feeling very grateful this morning for the wonderful meals we've been receiving, along with all the other things people have done/are doing for us. I just want you to know that even though you may not get a personal thank-you, you are most definitely in our thoughts and mental thank you's are sent on a regular basis.
Photos are coming very soon, like momentarily. Love to all, Sandy

ReplyDeleteI too have been thinking of you all morning. Couldn't wait to see the pictures. I have always thought you looked great in short hair. You look MARVELOS. (I know it is not spelled right I wanted it to sound like the guy on Saturday Night Live. Anyway. Thanks for keeping us updated. Thoughts and prayers are always with you.

Sandy, you look great with short hair. I, as you know, am a short-hair gal right now, but I adore long hair, and miss my own. However I've got to admit that the both the ease of care and the actual fact that I think short hair compliments my face are factors in favor of staying short. No wonder you cried when your lovely locks got snipped... it's a loss. You had beautiful hair, you have beautiful hair, and you will have beautiful hair again... maybe curly, right?
